About Us

The Leisure World Photography Club began as a "Special Interest Group" within the Leisure World Computer Club. On February 18, 2015, the Leisure World Board of Directors approved and recognized the Leisure World Photography Club as a separate entity. Therefore, the Leisure World Photography Club now celebrates February 18th as our birthday. Here are a few things you need to know about our club:

We are a friendly group, eager to share our interests and knowledge with others. We love learning all we can about our craft and then putting it to work out in the field. And if we happen to encounter a great restaurant along the way, hey, it's all good! To join our club, click the here. 

• We’re a group of photographers at all levels – beginners & beyond with interest in capturing and processing images.

• The dues are only $10/Person or $15/Manor (Per Season).

• We normally meet each Saturday, 10:00 – 11:30 in the Rec 1 Theater (bring your own water or coffee).

• We share themed photos from our members at meetings.

• We sponsor educational programs, expert speakers and instructors to increase our member’s knowledge.

• We go on fun photo shoots throughout the season which are usually followed by a social lunch with the group.

• We share ideas and information about all aspects of taking and processing better photos from field to finish.

• We participate in art shows & competitions.
